B.A. in Human Biology

The B.A. in Human Biology takes a holistic approach to Homo sapiens, with a focus on the human organism.

The B.S. in Human Biology extends the investigation of human biology to the sub-cellular and molecular level, placing the study of human biology within the larger context of biological and biochemical mechanisms common to life forms.

Minor in Human Biology

The interdisciplinary Minor in Human Biology considers ethical issues related to human biology while giving you an introduction to the scientific understanding necessary to the field.

Human Biology pairs well with many other programs and students in Human Biology often have double (and sometimes triple) majors as well as other minors or certificates.

The Human Biology major is a good fit for students within the College of Arts and Sciences as well as other schools at Indiana University, such as the Kelley School of Business or the School of Public Health.

Alumni Spotlight: Dana Jones

When Gary native Dana Jones graduated from West Side High School in 2005, she packed up and moved to Bloomington, where she earned her IU undergraduate degree in human biology, minoring in chemistry. Now in medical school, Dana has returned to her hometown and hopes to inspire other young people to dream big.
